The largest and deadliest fire in Israel’s history is raging out of control in the drought-ridden north. As of now, 41 people have been killed, homes have been burned, and 17,000 residents have been evacuated, leaving with only the clothes on their backs, and more are likely to follow.

On Thursday 23rd April 2009, a week before Memorial Day and Independence Day, a golf tournament was held in The Ga’ash Golf Club, whose proceeds went to NATAL.
123 golfers registered for the tournament, competing in two tournaments. The competition was open to all Israeli golfers with a golfing certificate.
