Clinical Unit

NATAL’s expert interdisciplinary clinical staff combines traditional therapy with methods such as movement and art therapy. These treatments help clients process their traumatic experiences and regain their sense of security and purpose. The cost of treatment is subsidized; patients do not need to be recognized by the formal authorities to qualify for NATAL’s services.

·         NATAL’s Testimonial Center provides trauma victims with a therapeutic platform for documenting their traumatic experiences for themselves, future generations and for research as well. A DVD of the documentation is given to the patient to share with their families. For Israeli society this project helps to preserve part of its collective being.

·         The Discharged Soldiers Project offers special psychological assistance to discharged combat soldiers who served in the IDF during the first and second Intifada and the Second Lebanon War. Research shows that roughly 10% of combat soldiers suffer from symptoms of PTSD, which appear immediately or as a delayed reaction. These young men and women tend to deny or repress their emotional difficulties and NATAL seeks to help them through individual and group counseling, allowing them to share their experiences while empowering them to heal.
