Tel Aviv University, Van Leer Institute and NATAL have teamed up to assemble a multidisciplinary international convention on trauma testimony discourse. The convention will take place on February, 2011 in Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem.
The convention will assemble local and international experts that deal with trauma testimony discourse. The experts will each belong to different fields of research, such as; psychology, psychiatry, history, anthropology, literature, cinematography etc. the convention was set out to expend the accumulated knowledge regarding trauma testimony discourse, issues regarding the interaction between the listener and the testifier, the location of the memory and its delusional effects on the testimony and more. The convention’s goal is to characterize developing genres in the field and develop tools that would allow characterization and evaluation of this unique discourse.
